How to measure a gas strut.
- Measure the Extended Length (A) in milimetres.
- Measure the Stroke (B) in milimetres.
- Measure the Piston Rod Diameter (C) in milimetres.
- Measure the Case Diameter (D) in milimetres.
- Check the Force (N) noted in newtons on the sticker.
Example: Our Rear Lift Door strut has an Extended Length (A) of 700mm, a Stroke (B) of 305mm, a Piston Rod Diameter (C) of 10mm, a Case Diameter (D) of 22mm and a Force (N) of 450N. We express this information as 700/305S 10/22 450N, with the “S” meaning stroke and “N” meaning newtons.
